BRTC to start sale of advance Eid tickets tomorrow
The state-run Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will start sale of advance Eid tickets from tomorrow at 18 bus depots across the country.
The Eid Special Service of BRTC will run from May 27 to June 10, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said at his secretariat today.
A total of 1,089 buses will provide services during Eid across the country, of which, 649 will run within the capital city and 390 will operate intercity, the minister said.
Apart from this, at least 50 buses will remain on stand-by to meet any emergency needs during the Eid holidays.
The minister was talking to journalists today after joining office following his illness.
Quader, also the AL general secretary, underwent a bypass surgery in Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital on March 20 and had been staying there to recover from his ailment. He returned home from Singapore on May 15.
