Three wild cat cubs rescued in Cumilla
Police rescued three wild cat cubs in Laksham upazila of Cumilla yesterday night.
One Masum Khan of Chongaon-Noapara village of Kandipara union saw the three cubs at a field when he was harvesting paddy yesterday afternoon, our Cumilla correspondent reports quoting police.
Locals caught them, said Md Nizam Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Laksham Police Station.
As Masum claimed one of the cubs was taken by their neighbour Arif and he released the rest, police started searching and rescued all three of them, the OC said.
The cubs have been kept in Laksham Police Station and will be handed over to forest department, the police official said.
Police could not confirm species of the cubs yet.
