Two more infected with coronavirus in Faridpur

Two more people in Faridpur have tested positive for coronavirus infection, bringing the total number of infected in the district to four.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed the results, said Civil Surgeon Md Siddiqur Rahman of Faridpur this morning.

The newly infected duo includes the 32 years old wife of a formerly infected man of Nagarkanda upazila who tested positive on April 13, said the civil surgeon adding that the other is a man aged around 45 of Boalmari upazila.

Nagarkanda upazila was put under lockdown on April 14. Now a few houses of Boalmari upazila around the house of the infected man has also been locked down, reports our local correspondent quoting Md Alim-Uj-Jaman, Faridpur superintendent of police.
