Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) today has directed all airlines not to carry passengers from European countries, except the UK, to Bangladesh from 12:00pm tomorrow till March 31.

Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, chairman of the regulatory authority, made the decision at an emergency press briefing at his office today.

If any airlines bring passengers from those countries, they will have to take the passengers back at the airlines' own cost, he added.

The decision came in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak across the world.
