Third Covid-19 case confirmed in Cumilla, 1 village locked down

A village in Cumilla's Titas upazila was put under lockdown after a 50-year-old man tested positive for coronavirus today.

The patient is a resident of Biramkandi village at the upazila's Korikandi union, our local correspondent reports.

Cumilla Deputy Commissioner Abul Fazal Mir said, "We locked down the Biramkandi village as IEDCR confirmed the man is positive for Covid-19."

His samples were earlier sent to the IEDCR suspecting his case is of coronavirus, he added.

The 50-year-old is Cumilla's third confirmed coronavirus case. Earlier, two children from Burichang upazilla had tested positive.
