Ongoing restrictions in Khulna extended for another week
The ongoing restrictions in Khulna to spread the curb of Covid-19 has been extended for another week.
A meeting of Coronavirus Prevention Committee of Khulna district held at the conference room of Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain decided to extend the restrictions from Sunday.
The decisions taken at the meeting include that no shops, malls, restaurants, etc.. can be kept open after 5:00pm, reports our Khulna correspondent quoting the Khulna deputy commissioner.
No one will be able to go out from their houses unnecessarily except for emergency reasons. Easy bikes were asked to ply the roads at half capacity. Kitchen markets and drug stores will be exempt from these restrictions.
Khulna Metropolitan Police was asked to take strict action against people who gather on roads unnecessarily and do not follow hygiene rules.
Besides, the meeting decided to turn Khulna Sadar Hospital into a dedicated coronavirus hospital, said Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque who was attended the meeting as chief guest.
