One dies of Covid-19, another tests positive in Ctg

One person died of coronavirus infection and another tested positive for Covid-19 in Chattogram today. 

The latest case brings the number of confirmed cases in Chattogram to 16, of which three have resulted in deaths, reports our Chattogram correspondent quoting sources at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID). 

A 50-year-old woman who was diagnosed with Covid-19 by BITID today passed away at Chattogram General Hospital around 10:00am, said Dr Hasan Shahriar Kabir, Chattogram divisional director of Directorate General of Health Services. 

She was admitted to the hospital early in the morning with fever and breathing problems. 

Another person was also diagnosed with Covid-19 infection this morning after his samples were tested at BITID.  

A total of 104 samples were tested today.
