Narail under lockdown from 3pm tomorrow

Narail district will be under lockdown for an indefinite period from 3:00pm tomorrow to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The district administration took the decision following the recommendations of the local committee on coronavirus prevention affairs and the Narail civil surgeon, said a notice signed by Anzuman Ara, deputy commissioner of Narail today.

As per the decision, public entry and exit to and from the district have been restricted until further instruction.

All kinds of public transport and people's gathering will also be restricted, said the notice.

Transportation of agricultural products, food items, goods, medical equipment, daily essentials, and the emergency services related to the supply of power, water, gas, fire service, banking, mobile banking, telephone and internet operations would remain out of purview of the lockdown.

Legal action will be taken against the violators of the directives, the notice added.
