IGP hands over safety equipment to DMP

Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed today handed over safety equipment to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) so that police personnel who are discharging duties amid the outbreak of coronavirus are better protected.

Benazir handed the safety equipment over to DMP Commissioner Mohammad Shafiqul Islam at police headquarters this morning, according to a press release issued this afternoon.

DMP got the protective materials in line with the continuation of the supplying protective gear among police personnel considering the present situation of the country, the press release said.

The safety equipment include 50 thousand masks, two thousand bottles of hand sanitiser, two thousand eye protectors, one thousand face shields and 15 thousand personal protective equipment (PPE).
