Covid-19 vaccine out of stock in Patuakhali; inoculation paused

People are returning without getting Covid-19 vaccine from all the vaccination centres in Patuakhali due to unavailability of shots.

Patuakhali Civil Surgeon Jahangir Alam said, vaccination activities started in a total of 32 booths from February 8 in different upazila health centres, including eight booths in Patuakhali Medical College Hospital.

Around 58,582 people have registered in the district for Covid-19 vaccination, of whom 45,537 people have received the first dose and 30,824 have received the second dose till May 22, Jahangir said.

All the vaccination activities were stopped in the district from Sunday and will resume when the shots are restocked, he added.

According to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital, many people were seen returning from the vaccination booths today.
