Covid-19: 2 lakh people getting vaccinated every day, says health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque today said two lakh people across the country are getting vaccinated every day as attitude towards the coronavirus vaccine is changing.

"People's attitudes have changed. Now, two lakh people are getting vaccinated every day. This vaccine (Oxford-Astrazeneca) is the safest one. We will get rid of coronavirus through this vaccine," he said.

The health minister was talking to reporters after he visited a 300-bed coronavirus hospital in Narayanganj city this noon.

Zahid Maleque, however, urged everyone not to give up the habit of wearing masks as well as getting vaccinated until coronavirus is completely eradicated.

"Coronavirus is leaving right now. Don't forget to wear masks. You will continue to wear masks as well as take the vaccine. At one stage, inshallah, coronavirus will leave this country," he said.
