Covid-19: 11 die, 446 infected, 641 recover in 24 hours
Eleven people have died from Covid-19 in 24 hours (till 8am today), according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of deaths has now reached 8,285 and the death rate stands at 1.53 percent.
At least 446 new infections were recorded in the 24 hours (till 8am today) taking the total number of people infected to 5,41,038, added the release.
The current positivity rate is 3.15 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.01 percent.
A total of 14,138 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours (till 8am today).
At least 641 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 4,87,870, with recovery rate at 90.17 percent.
Among the 11 deceased, seven were men and four women while one was between 11-20 years old, two within 31-40 and eight were above 60 years old, added the release.
