Countrywide Covid-19 vaccination starts tomorrow

The countrywide Covid-19 vaccination will start tomorrow in 1,005 centres across the country.

Of those, 50 centres have been set up in different hospitals of Dhaka city, Prof ABM Khurshid Alam, director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said at a press conference this afternoon.

As of 4:00pm today, a total of 328,013 people have registered online to receive vaccines.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque will receive the vaccine tomorrow morning at Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital vaccination centre in Dhaka.

Prior to his inoculation, the health minister will inaugurate the vaccination campaign through video conferencing from the health directorate.
