Coronavirus: 16 flights on 6 routes cancelled on lack of passengers

Biman Bangladesh Airlines was forced to cancel at least 15 flights on five domestic routes and another on an international route from Dhaka.

The flight operations on the routes will remain suspended between March 19 and March 22 due to shortage of passengers, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Biman, Md Mokabbir Hossain, told The Daily Star today.

The domestic routes are Jessore, Saidpur, Rajshahi, Chattogram and Sylhet. The suspended international route is to Kathmandu, Nepal.

Earlier, flight operations to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Doha, Kuwait, Dammam, Madina, Jeddah Riyadh, Kolkata and Delhi were suspended due to coronavirus fears.
