8 more die at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital’s coronavirus unit

Eight more persons died at the coronavirus unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) over 24 hours till 8:00am today, raising the district's Covid-19 and suspected death toll to 122 since May 24, our Rajshahi correspondent reports.

According to RMCH, among the deceased, four were from Rajshahi, three from Chapainawabganj, and one from Pabna. Of them, two from Chapainawabganj and one from Rajshahi tested Covid-19 positive.

In 24 hours, 33 new patients have been admitted to the coronavirus unit of the hospital, 13 patients have been released, and a total of 257 people are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

A total of 188 samples were tested in RMCH in 24 hours (till 8am today). Ninety-nine of them tested Covid-19 positive.
