8 healthcare professionals test Covid-19 positive in Mymensingh

A doctor and seven medical staff of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) tested positive for Covid-19 today.  

The results for the eight healthcare professionals were confirmed today, according to a tally prepared by MMCH, Dr Md Saiful Islam, assistant director of the hospital told our district correspondent.

A total of 65 people have so far tested positive in Mymensingh district, the assistant director added. 

Of them, six healthcare professionals are receiving treatment at SK Hospital, which is dedicated for treating coronavirus patients, said Dr Hussain Ahmed Golondas Tara, divisional coordinator of coronavirus monitoring cell of Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad.

The rest of the patients are under home quarantine, the doctor added.
