7-day lockdown in 2 Natore municipalities from tomorrow

Natore district administration has decided to put Natore and Singra municipalities under lockdown for seven days, starting tomorrow.

The decision was taken by the district's coronavirus prevention committee at an emergency meeting last night.

The decision will be announced formally today, our local correspondent reports quoting Deputy Commissioner Md Shahriaz.

As per the decision, no one would be allowed to go out during the lockdown period, and wearing mask would be mandatory. Volunteers can provide essential goods during the time.

Yesterday, 35 people were diagnosed in the district with Covid-19.

So far, 39 Covid-19 patients were admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital till yesterday afternoon.
