66% Bangladeshis would take Covid-19 vaccine: survey by University of Maryland and Facebook
Over 66 percent people in Bangladesh said that they would take the Covid-19 vaccine, a survey has revealed.
The survey was conducted recently by the University of Maryland in partnership with Facebook. Some 1.52 lakh Bangladeshi Facebook users took part in the survey.
The survey shows that vaccine acceptance was the highest, 72.28 percent, among people in Sylhet division and the lowest, 63.44 percent, among people in Rangpur division.
Vaccine acceptance in Barishal was 68.73 percent, in Chattogram 69.53 percent, in Dhaka 63.51 percent, in Khulna 68.45 percent and in Rajshahi 66.98 percent.
People's willingness to get Covid-19 vaccine varies widely across the world, according to the survey.
For example, average intent in Vietnam is 86 percent, compared to 72 percent in India.
With over 39 million responses as of Monday in 200 countries and territories, since April 2020, this was one of the largest surveys to help health researchers better monitor and forecast the spread of Covid-19.
