6 doctors, among 19 staffers, of MMCH infected with coronavirus

Nineteen staffers, including six doctors and seven nurses, of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours today.

The MMCH confirmed the number of infections today, said Dr ABM Mashiul Alam, civil surgeon of Mymensingh.

Besides, a senior staff nurse at Muktagacha Upazila Health Complex in Mymensingh also tested positive today, said the civil surgeon.

With the 20, the total number of infected in the district has reached 86, said Mashiul Alam.

The laboratory of the MMCH conducted tests on 188 samples collected from different districts under Mymensingh division, he said.

Tests of 24 samples among those came back positive, our Mymensingh correspondent reports quoting the doctor.

Of the 24 infected, 20 are from Mymensingh, while four others from Jamalpur.
