31,160 people administered Covid-19 vaccine on the 1st day of nationwide drive

A total of 31,160 people were vaccinated on the first day of countrywide inoculation programme.
Of them, 23,857 were male and 7,303 female, according to the data of Management Information System of Directorate General of Health Services.
According to the DGSH, a total of 21 vaccine recipients showed Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI).
The first phase vaccine rollout started in 1,005 centres across the country this morning with vaccinating frontline workers and people aged 55 years and above.
