3 resorts to be used as quarantine centres in Cox’s Bazar

Authorities have decided to use three resorts as institutional quarantine facilities in Ukhiya upazila of Cox's Bazar.

The resorts are: La Bella Resort, Pebble Stone Resort, and Royal Stone Resort. All of those are situated beside the Inani sea beach between Marine Drive Road and LGED road, reports our Cox's Bazar correspondent quoting Ukhiya Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Nikaruzzaman Chowdhury.

The three resorts have been requisitioned to be used as institutional quarantine facility in the upazila after Cox's Bazar district administration sent a letter on March 22 directing the local authorities to prepare a minimum 100-bed quarantine facility in every upazila, the UNO said.

The resorts will be prepared with at least 150 beds for use as quarantine centres by March 25, the official also said.

Signboards have been placed on the resorts' premises in this regard, he added.
