21-yr-old woman kept under institutional quarantine at Shariatpur

A 21-year-old woman has been put under institutional quarantine at Jajira Upazila Health Complex in Shariatpur today.

She has been complaining of high fever, cough and breathing problems for the past few days, Dr Mahmudul Hasan, Jajira upazila health and family planning officer, told The Daily Star.

"She worked at various homes as a housemaid, but has not told us whether she got in touch with any expatriates or not," the official said.

A team from the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) collected her blood sample, the official added.
