2 lower court judges test Covid-19 positive

Condition of High Court judge improving, says law minister

Two lower court judges have tested positive with Covid-19 while the condition of a High Court judge infected with the virus is improving, Law Minister Anisul Huq said today.

A judge working in Munshiganj and another judge in Netrokona have tested positive; an office staff of Munshiganj court has also been infected with the virus, the minister told The Daily Star.

"I have personally taken all necessary measures to ensure their proper treatment. I am looking into the overall issues," the minister said.

Anisul Huq said the High Court judge, who has been admitted at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka, is improving.

Replying to a query, the law minister said he has requested Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain to keep the virtual court functions on till May 28 in order to contain the coronavirus spread.
