164 more stranded Bangladeshis return from India
Another 164 Bangladeshis, who were stranded in India for over a month, returned home this afternoon by a special flight.
The special chartered flight of US-Bangla Airlines carrying the passengers landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 3:05pm from Chennai, Kamrul Islam, general manager (public relations) of the airlines, told The Daily Star.
Most of them went to India for treatment purposes in Chennai, said officials of US-Bangla Airlines.
After completion of the health screening of the passengers, it will be decided who will be sent to self-quarantine or institutional quarantine, an official at the health desk, HSIA, said.
US-Bangla Airlines is scheduled to operate four more special flights till April 25 from Kolkata and Chennai to bring back Bangladeshis who are stranded in India.
