Quader hopes China, Russia will back UN plan

Ruling Awami League's general secretary and road transport and bridges minister, Obaidul Quader hopes China and Russia will back United Nations Security Council's proposal today.

He expressed his hopes at a programme organised by Jubo League's Dhaka metropolitan (south) unit at Suhrawardy Udyan marking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday.

He said, China and Russia were now showing sympathy in the Rohingya issue.

Quader also said, the whole world lauded the five-point proposal placed forward by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the United Nations.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has established her role as a lighthouse of humanity in the Rohingya issue," Quader said.
