Youth held for stalking at DU

Police yesterday arrested a private university student, Jayedur Rahman of Gopalganj, on the Dhaka University campus for allegedly stalking a female student of DU.

The victim submitted a written allegation to Shahbagh Police Station stating that Jayed had been teasing her for a long time. She claimed that when she protested, he threatened to kill her.

Abu Bakar Siddique, officer-in-charge of the police station, said further steps would be taken after investigation.
