Workshop on impacts of climate change on agriculture held at BRRI

A workshop on impacts of climate change on agriculture was held at the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) in Gazipur yesterday, said a press release.

The objective of the workshop was to report the outputs of a joint research on "Impact assessment of climate change on production and market of rice in Bangladesh" and to identify possible areas for collaboration between the BRRI and Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS).

BRRI Director General Jiban Krishna Biswas, JIRCAS Programme Director Akinori Oshibe, Tokyo University professor Takeshi Sakurai, were present among others.
