Worker dies in workplace accident

A factory worker died in a workplace accident in Mulaid area of Sreepur in Gazipur yesterday.

A spindle fell on Saiful Islam, 60, a cleaner at Viyela Textile Mills Ltd, while he was sweeping the floor in a warehouse, said Ashrafuzaman, sub-inspector of Sreepur Police Station.

He succumbed to his injures on the spot.
