Woman's body found in sack

Police recovered the body of a woman stuffed in a sack from a crop field near the bank of the Kanudi River in Bishnupur of Chandpur sadar upazila Thursday night.

The deceased was Sumi Aktar, 28, wife of Shahadat Hossain who is absconding, said police.

Matlab police detained Shahadat's father Babul Sarkar and mother Mahmuda Begum for interrogation.

Officer-in-Charge Kabir Hossain said the couple, who had been living in the capital's Kamrangirchar, visited their Matlab residence on the occasion of Eid.
