Woman to die for killing boy in Rangpur

A Rangpur court yesterday sentenced a woman to death in a case filed for killing a boy in 2007.

The convict is Majeda Begum, 35, of Thakuradah-Mondirpara village in Gangachara upazila.

According to the prosecution, Majeda lured Rumman, 6, with a chocolate on July 4, 2007, and strangled him centring a land dispute with his father. 

Majeda, confessed to the crime after arrest.
