Woman, child fatally run over by Narsingdi train

A woman and her nine-month-old son died as a train ran them over in Hasnabad area of Raipura upazila in Narsingdi yesterday morning.

The deceased were Moslama Akter Morsheda, 28, wife of Kamruzzaman of Aatkandi village in Mirzapur union; and Mohammad Arefin, their son.

Locals said the woman committed suicide.

Narsingdi railway police said they could ascertain the reason behind the death after investigation.

The bodies were sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
