Withdrawal of extra fees demanded

SSC examinees formed human chains in Chittagong city demanding withdrawal of all additional charges which different private and MPO-listed schools have imposed as the exam fees of 2016.

Students of Forest Research High School yesterday organised the event in Muradpur area while  Samajtantrik Chhatra Front submitted a complaint to Chittagong deputy commissioner in this regard.

The Chittagong Education Board fixed the form fill-up fees between Tk 1,300 and Tk 1,500 for science, business and humanities group students while the schools making coaching compulsory and in the name of form fill-up, session and other fees are charging the students between Tk 4,000 and Tk 6,000, said a press release.

When contacted, the head teacher of Forest Research High School refused to make any comment in this regard.
