Victim described how he was tortured
A Chittagong court yesterday heard voice statement in a case filed for the murder of Himu three years ago.
The statement was recorded by his friends while Himu was undergoing treatment in a city hospital.
Himu described how he was taken to a building by the accused -- Md Shahadat Hossain Saju, Jahedul Islam Shawon, Mahboob Ali Khan Danny and Junaid Ahmed Riad -- and was unleashed upon by dogs and, later, pushed off from the building, said additional public prosecutor Anupam Chakraborty Anupam. The statement was placed before Judge Nurul Islam of Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court-4.
The court fixed October 19 for next argument, said the APP. Himu, an A-level student of Summerfield School and College died at a Dhaka hospital on May 23, 2012 after he had been tortured on April 27, 2012 in Chittagong city's Panchlaish Residential Area centering his anti-drug campaign.
