TIB calls to punish human traffickers without leniency

Expressing grave concern over the appalling conditions of human trafficking victims, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) held responsible a lack of good governance in the immigration sector, corruption, and weak enforcement of law for creation of such a situation.
TIB called for ensuring exemplary punishment for the trafficking ring without leniency, says a press release. The government should also form a national task force in collaboration with the United Nations and countries involved to rescue Bangladeshis floating in sea, it adds.
