Three port city JMB suspects remanded

A Chittagong court yesterday placed three suspected JMB activists in a five-day remand each in two cases filed with Hathazari Police Station.

The order came after Naimur Rahman Nayan, Faisal Mahmud and Shawkat Russell -- all students of the physics department at Chittagong University -- were produced before the court, court sources said. On December 26 last year, detectives arrested Nayan from Kazir Dewri, Faisal from Nalapara and Russell from Cosmopolitan area in the port city.
