Three more found dead in Gazipur
Three people, including a college student, were found dead in separate incidents in Gazipur yesterday.
In Kaliakoir, the hanging body of Joti Akter, 19, was recovered from her Harinhati village house, said Safiul Alam, sub-inspector of Kaliakoir Police Station.
Joti was an eleventh-grader of Bhasha Shahid Abdul Jabber School and College, he said.
Police detained her husband Mahbubur Rahman Bepary and sister-in-law Badrunnahar Beauty for interrogation.
In Sreepur, Sohag, 25, son of Sozul Ghosh, was found hanging from a mango tree near his house in Barmi Bazaar area, said Sreepur Model Police Station Sub-inspector Sohorawardi.
Yet another incident, Rifat, 6, son of Borhan Uddin, was declared dead at Kapasia Upazila Health Complex after he was rescued from a wetland in Uttar Khamer village of the upazila.
Locals said he drowned in the wetland.
Earlier on Tuesday, missing Mohammed Masum, 35, was found dead in a ditch beside Dhaka-Tangail highway before Shafipur Ansar Academy in the district.
An unidentified man was found dead in Kalikoir's Kalampur area on the day.
On Monday night, one Roton Majhi, 55, and another Raju Dewan, were hacked to death in separate incidents in Gazipur.
