Three more defeated CCC councillor aspirants seek re-voting

Three more defeated councillors in the polls to the Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) on April 28 filed three cases with Election Tribunal yesterday, seeking re-voting in their wards.

Farid Ahmed of Jalalabad (ward-2), Nazrul Islam Bahadur of Pathantuli (ward-28) and Abdus Sattar Selim of Pahartali (ward-9) lodged the cases bringing allegations of rigging, ballot box stuffing with help of law enforcers and occupying of polling centres on election day. Earlier, eight similar cases were filed.
