Temporary Biman staff stage demo for regularisation

Over 100 temporary employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines staged a sit-in before the motor transport department on the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport premises yesterday demanding regularisation of their jobs.

The three-hour agitation started around 10:30am. The agitators demanded cancellation of the provision, under which the national flag-carrier is recruiting staff through outsourcing companies.

Biman now has several hundred temporary employees.
