Six 'vehicle jackers' held in 3 dists with stolen motorbikes, car

Detectives yesterday recovered 21 stolen motorcycles and a private car, and arrested six alleged motorbike thieves in the capital, Narayanganj and Khagrachari. 

The arrestees were members of a bike stealing syndicate, said the detective branch of DMP.  The law enforcers also seized two machetes and some iron rods from their possession.  The arrestees used to snatch away motorbikes from riders on different roads, police said, adding that after changing the chassis numbers, they used to sell the bikes in remote areas.
