Seven Bangladeshis return from Indian jail after two years
Seven Bangladeshi nationals, including a child, returned home through Benapole check post on Thursday night after serving two years' sentence in a Kerala jail in India.
They are Nurul Abedin, of Brahmanbaria district, Aftabur Rahman, of Sunamganj district, Sharif Molla alias Borhan, of Jessore district, Idris Ali, of Shariatpur district, Shafiqul Biswas of Jessore, his eight-year-old son Saymon Biswas, and Babu Sheikh of Narail.
They were arrested in Tamil Nadu some six months after they entered India illegally in search of jobs, said Benapole check post immigration officer.
A human rights organisation "Rights Jessore" about six months ago informed the home ministry about the seven.
