Schoolboy found dead in Savar lake

A schoolboy was found dead in a lake at Chayabithi in Savar outside the capital yesterday.

Md Rabiul Islam, 13, son Md Ataur Rahman, was a seventh-grader at Gyan Bikash School in Savar.

He drowned or was killed by miscreants, said Md Nahid Hosen, sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Station.

Ataur and police said Rabiul had been missing since he went to the lake to take a bath.

Earlier, he played football with his friends on a field near their house in the area, they said.
