SC lawyer dies from Covid-19 infection
Eminent Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Mohammad Idrisur Rahman has died from Covid-19.
He breathed his last at Asgar Ali Hospital around 4:00am today, Barrister Imtiaz Rahman Sabuj told The Daily Star. He was 64.
Imtiaz said Idrisur, who was a patient with respiratory problems, was diagnosed with Covid-19 recently.
Idrisur was a pioneer lawyer for public interest litigation. He left behind his wife, son, daughter and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
He will be buried at his family graveyard in Bangora village under Muradnagar upazila in Cumilla, said Imtiaz.
Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain expressed deep shock at the death of Idrisur.
The chief justice prayed for the eternal peace of his soul and expressed deep sympathy for his bereaved family.
