S Asian Tourism Federation formed
To promote tourism, South Asian Tourism Federation was formed yesterday at a meeting attended by representatives from Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Bhutan.
HM Hakim Ali, president of Bangladesh International Hotel Association, has been made the chairman of its interim board. DB Limbu, president of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents, has been made the second vice chairman, Sonam Dorji, executive director of Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators, the secretary general and Sangeeta Rana, secretary general of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Bhutan, has been made the treasurer. Rezaul Ekram, president of Bangladesh Inbound Tour Operators Association, has been made the convenor, said a press release.
