RU teacher files GD over kidnap threat

A Rajshahi University teacher filed a general diary with Boalia Police Station as he on Monday allegedly received a threat of kidnapping one of his family members.

Prof Parvez Hasan of the biological science institute said a person identifying himself as a JMB member called him on his cellphone from 01820143944 number demanding Tk 5 lakh."If I don't fulfill his demand, he will abduct one of my family members," he said. Police said they were investigating the matter.
