RU student dies from electrocution

A Rajshahi University student died while two others were injured from electrocution while having a picnic with their friends on a boat at Hateel Beel in Chalan Beel area of Natore yesterday.

Jahidul Islam, 21, son of Kazi Amin Uddin of Pabna, was a third year student of geography and environment science department.

Jahidul along with Boishakhi Khatun and Alif Jahan Ripon were on the boat's roof when they came in contact with a live wire of the electric poles installed in the river, said their fellows.

The injured two have been shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital from Natore Sadar Hospital.
