'Robber' found murdered in Mymensingh
An alleged member of a robbery gang was found dead with his throat slit beside a canal in Chhoto Boroihati village of Gafargaon upazila in Mymensingh yesterday.
Police suspect Monjur Miah, 30, of Panchahar village in Gafargaon, was killed by the robbers of his own gang over sharing looted goods.
The body of Manjur, who was accused in four robbery cases filed with Pagla Police Station, also bore marks of injury on different parts, said Officer-in-Charge Md Chand Miah.
Manjur's brother Afaz Uddin, 33, also accused in the cases, is on the run, said Chand Miah.
His two other brothers Nurul Islam, 35, and Shamim Miah, 40, were killed in mass beating while they were allegedly committing a robbery in Gazipur around six months ago.
