Road crashes kill 4, injure one

Four people, including two of a family, were killed and another was injured in road accidents in four districts yesterday and on Wednesday.

In Dinajpur, a girl was killed and her father injured when a truck hit them while they were crossing the road in Parbatipur upazila on Wednesday night.

The deceased was Rubaiya Khatun, 5, daughter of Ramjan Ali of Sahapara village.

In Patuakhali, bus driver Delwar Hossain, 45, was killed when a lorry hit him while he was standing beside his bus on Patuakhali-Barisal road at Lebukhali Ferry Ghat area yesterday.

He was waiting there for a ferry to cross the River Paira.

In Bogra, Jahinur Begum, 43, of Barguna was killed when a bus ran her over while she was crossing the Bogra-Dhaka highway in Doshmail area of Sherpur upazila yesterday.

In Comilla, Anwar Ali, 60, of Sholpo Pennai area was killed when a microbus ran her over on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the area of Daudkandi upazila yesterday.
