RMG factory looted in Savar

Armed robbers looted valuables worth around Tk 6 lakh from an RMG factory and injured two security guards at Durgapur in Ashulia, outside the capital, yesterday.

Amranur Rahman, director of Haesong Korea Ltd, quoting factory guards said five to six robbers stormed into the factory with the help of one of the security guards Rakib Miah. The criminals tied two other security guards -- Ponir Miah and Abdus Sattar -- with rope and fled by a truck after looting yarn from the knitting unit.
