Report on arrest of fugitives by March 3

A Dhaka court yesterday directed police to report on arrest of the fugitives by March 3 in a case filed over the Rana Plaza collapse.

The court asked the officers-in-charge of the police stations concerned to submit the report before it as they failed to do so by yesterday.

On December 21 last year, the court issued arrest warrants against 24 absconding people accused in the Rana Plaza case and asked authorities to file a compliance report by January 27 this year.

Over 1,100 people died when multistoried Rana Plaza, housing mostly garment factories, collapsed on April 24, 2013 in Savar's Ashulia.
