Red Crescent launches natural disaster mitigation campaign

Aiming to enhance community resilience in times of natural disasters by 2025, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) yesterday launched a global campaign.

The programme titled "One Billion Coalition for Resilience" in Bangladesh may include training on pre and post disaster responses, first aid, and strengthening livelihood in poverty stricken communities.

El Hadji Amadou Gueye, secretary general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and BDRCS Chairman Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar were present at the launching ceremony in Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College.
